Harborgate is a private lake front community on High Rock Lake in Davidson County, North Carolina.
It is located off Highway # 8, 14.5 miles south of I-85 Exit # 91.
DESCRIPTION: The Harborgate Subdivision consists of 151 acres containing 119 platted building sites and approximately 50 acres of unimproved land. The sub-division sits at the foot of High Rock Mountain and has approximately 2 miles of shoreline.
RESTRICTIONS: Only single family residential homes with a minimum of 1600 sq. ft. and a two car attached garage are permitted. You may refer to the Declaration of Rights, Restrictions, and Conditions (Harborgate Restrictive Covenants) to see other restrictions that apply.
ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL: All homes to be built are subject to established Architectural Guidelines. Detailed house and building site plans must be submitted to the Architectural Control Committee for their review and approval before construction can begin. Strict adherence to guidelines is enforced in order to protect the attractiveness and value of the Community.
PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION: The Harborgate Property Owners Association, Inc. was formed to collect assessments for the maintenance of the community common areas and amenities. The annual dues assessment for 2016 is $1,010.00. The Harborgate Articles of Incorporation and By-laws provide additional information regarding the role of the Association and the duties, rights, and responsibilities of its Members, Directors, and Officers.
2015 PROPERTY TAXES: 63 Cents per $100.00 Assessed Value (54 Cents County Wide, Plus 9 Cents Healing Springs Fire Protection).
HOA MANAGEMENT COMPANY: The Harborgate POA has contracted with CAS, Inc., PO Box 83, Pinehurst, NC 28370 to obtain "Financial Services" for the Association. "Property Management Services" are provided by the Board of Directors and various Harborgate POA Committees.

SEMI-PRIVATE PIERS: Private Piers may be constructed on every 200' of shoreline at High Rock Lake where permitted by Alcoa. Most waterfront lots in New Harborgate have approximately 100' of water frontage. Therefore, most piers constructed on Harborgate lots are semi-private - they are shared by two adjoining property owners.
